THE DAKOTAS

We're fortunate enough to live in beautiful western South Dakota in an area known as the Northern Black Hills.  Our log home and studio are located at an elevation of about 1 mile in the mountains.  We're in very close proximity to scenic locations in and around the Black Hills including Badlands National Park, Mt. Rushmore, Bear Butte, Spearfish Canyon, Devils Tower, Custer State Park and countless others.  Additionally, within a 4-6 hour drive are Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, Rocky Mt. National Park, and Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota.  These areas also have an abundance of wildlife such as Bison, Big Horn Sheep, Mountain Goats, Mountain Lions, Deer, Elk, Wild Turkeys, Prairie Dogs and more.  This gallery is composed of images from North and South Dakota including some wildlife images scattered throughout.  For a complete gallery of wildlife images, click here.
