PANORAMAS

Panoramic images are great for those who enjoy wide scenic landscapes.  They are composed of single images (of sections of a scene) stitched together to form a much larger image.  It's often done to convey the vastness of scene that could never be displayed in one single image.  Most people are familiar with horizontal panos but there are also vertical panos called "vertoramas."  Many panoramic images you see are just a single image cropped to a panoramic aspect ratio.  My images are multiple shots that are stitched together.  I often bracket each individual section and each section's final image is then stitched together.  This results in an extremely high resolution, detailed panoramic image.  Most of the images below were composed of 30 - 80 bracketed images, all combined and stitched together to form one image.  My camera also allows me to shoot in the classic Hasselblad "XPan" aspect ratio which also give a high resolution panoramic image.  XPan is by far my favorite aspect ratio.  However, panoramic images display poorly on social media sites since the Gods of Social Media have decided the "acceptable" aspect ratios.
